i need something easy that sounds really kool
any suggestions of where or how i can play?

go to your local music store and get a book on syncopation, and stick control. theres another good one called "funky primer" thats used a lot by teachers. the thing to know about drums is that you need to keep a rock solid beat before you just up and play songs.

tap your left hand on the table in front of you and count out loud - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. go slowly.

keep doing it, and when you feel ready, tap your other hand on the table only on the "2" and "4" counts.

now, listen to something older like AcDc, and you'll hear that there are certain things that come in on a certain beat, and things that happen on others. learning that stuff is what playing drums is all about. once you have that down, you can try drum fills, and paradiddles.
