Would it have been better if US troops had killed Saddam when they found him?

I think a lot of people would not have believed Saddam was killed if that had happened. Having him on trial and seeing his face will give a lot of people closer.

we captured Saddam in conjunction with Iraqi troops,for the sole purpose of handing him over to the Iraqi people to stand trial for his atrocities. plus,he was a little puss-*** hiding in a spider hole.he had a pistol in his possession at said time of capture;he had three choices:1)kill himself,2)fire upon our troops and be killed,3) try to bribe his way out of capture.he chose #3,which was the wrong choice.

i think that the legal process is probably the right one, but a lot of problems and lives would have been saved if they just assinated him before america and other countries got to envolved, politicians should be sent to any war first or at least let the military do what they do best and politicians should do what they do best

I think a lot of people got satisfaction from seeing him disgraced, filthy, and looking like a derelict. It sort of robbed him of the almighty dictator figure he resembled previously.

yes it would have been better if they had killed him when they found him. If so I think most of or troops would be home now.

I can't speak for others but If I was one of the troops on the ground that caught him, I would have made sure that he died in that spider hole.
