We have freedom of speech and freedom to worship our own religion. And we're a diverse country as far as religion, race, and culture!

1. The poorest people here are still richer than most people on earth.
2. Although it causes tension at times, we are still one of the most diverse nations in the world.
3. We do not live in a theocracy (yet)
4. It is a beautiful country with a wide variety of natural and cultural highlights.
5. Although it is a pain in the backside, we do have some of the best health care available on the planet.
6. Although many people view it as a negative, we provide most of the film and music entertainment for the western world. If it sucks so bad why does it do so well overseas?

8. To an extent it is still a meritocracy, and people can achieve greatness from the most humble of beginnings.
9. Regardless of what the media might depict, there is a lot of love here.
10. I am proud of the people and the spirit of our country, even if I am not always proud of our government.

Oh I can think of negative things to say about the US and I can say them, that's one thing that great, I'm entitled to express my opinions. In other countries you'd probably be shot. Even though you do hear about the police some times being too aggressive, there are laws that even they have to obey, search warrants being one. Not so in say Russia they just bust in swinging with clubs. (saw it on cops)
I wouldn't trade living here for any where else in the world. Yes improvement could be made, but nothings perfect, including the US citizens.

You bet there is. We have the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years, the stockmarket is through the roof, the housing market is still booming (despite what you hear on the news), I could go on.
The USA is still the greatest country in the world!
Please, don't believe everything that you hear on TV.

It's the best dam* country on this earth. Why do we have twenty million illegals and more fighting to get in if it weren't... course if we don't get rid of the illegals and stop any more from getting in it won't be so good very soon.

You know there are a lot of good things about the USA.....but I think some people just need something to ***** about.....I think the alternative of living somewhere else......where they don't have our freedoms......SUCKS.......I have two sons in the Army fight for our Great Country...I am proud of them....So they seem to think that there are great things to fight for....
