Ok so last night i was watching TV and i saw a mouse run across my floor, well today i called base maintence to help come get it out of my house and they said they dont do that, but would bring me a mouse trap or some paper. I said ok and they just dropped it off, Well its one of those traps that snap the mouse in half and the paper is sticky like glue so it would rip the poor mouses feet off. Well i am not going to use those thats just horriable.

So besides lettin it live in my house (which is what i am going to have to do) How can i get it out? With out harming it?

as others stated: there are humane traps that catch mice w/o harming them. but, considering your moral dilemna: chances are the poor little mouse has a family, Christmas debts, and is probably eeking (sorry... *eking*) out a living in some lab, under the table @ less than minimum wage. perhaps the one mouse you've seen is the sole breadwinner for the little family that has chosen you, kind lady, as it's last resort in search of a caring ( ie. a non-rodenticidal) home.
can you live with youreslf for that? i think not!
btw, *justlynn*'s and my romance seem to have some flaws... she's criticizing my answers after only day of us being soulmates. keep in touch!

Go to a pet store they make a "Humane Mouse Trap" that catches the mouse in like a cage which you can then carry outside away from your hous and release the mouse.

Fill a large bucket half way with water. Sprinkle peanut butter flavored cereal (like generic Cap'n Crunch or something) on the surface of the water. Take a yardstick and prop it against a bucket to make a ramp. (think wheelchair ramp, only mouse sized...) The mice will climb the ramp to get the chow, but they will fall in and drown because they suck at swimming.

Unless you put some cheese in a shoe box and make one of those Wile E. Coyote cartoon contraptions the only other way if you dont want to kill it with pain then get the Deakon mouse pellets which poisons it.

Go to the store there are safe traps that do not kill them--and you could always set up a box with a piece of string tied on it -lift it slightly and put a piece of cheese under and wait. when you get him put him outside.

Get a trap and put some food or something in it. Then once it's trapped you can release it in the wild since you don't want to kill it.

Geez, you feel sorry for the mouse? Well if you DON'T want it to live in your house, you can get a cat, or just use the trap, i hate mice..

They have the humane traps that you take it outside and get rid of it afterward, or...like me...you get a cat, which in turn has kittens and you only get rid of 1 so now you have 3 cats, but no mice!!! Worked for me....

You can get a 'humane' trap. It won't kill the mouse but it will contain him/her. Once caught you can take it out somewhere & release it. It'll take patience (usually) but it's worth it.
