becuz i work at a temp agency in jersey city, nj and its so hard to communocate with these non-english speaking people. then what makes it worst is they dont even attemp to learn english they try to teach you whatever language it is that their speaking. i just think it's wrong they can come to our country but not know our language.

Our Language... ??? American is built on many nationalities.. If you want to truly get technical then maybe we should have learned the tongue of the Native American since it was us who invaded there lands..
I agree with you to a certain extent, I feel if you want to stay in this country and make a living here you should learn the language and most do, they just feel more comfortable in there native tongue.

Well I feel that people who don't speak English should learn English before coming to the U.S. After all the native language in America is English. I mean, when americans go to Mexico we don't expect the mexicans to learn English.... We learn Spanish before going to thier country. If you ask me, I think it is VERY rude!

This country was built on immigrants from other countries. Your ancestors came from another country originally. So does that mean you don't belong here? And before you criticize anyone else about their language, why don't you learn proper grammar and spelling. I think it is much worse when someone like you that is English speaking, can not spell or use proper grammar and English yourself.

amen. they ought to understand that we speak English and if they want to live here, they need to speak it too. if we all went to Mexico, they wouldn't all learn English so they could talk to us, they'd expect us to learn Spanish so we could talk to them.. It aggravates me and I wonder if they are just lazy or incapable of learning English. My Aunt is Japanese and when she came her 65 years ago, she didn't speak any English and didn't expect people to learn her language.........she learned English and that's the way it should be.

ya, i totally agree!ive been yelled at by so many spanish people because i dont speak spanish, im not the one in mexico there in our country.im not rasist at all but i think if there gonna live in our country they should at least speak our language!they cant come to amarica and expect us to learn there language!
