Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico. He also served in Clinton's cabinet as the Sec. of Energy I believe.
Quit talking about US Senators. Being in the Senate really harms a candidates chances because it gives you a voting record and no executive experience. If you are in Congress you will fall victim to the same he voted to raise taxes 15 times ads that Kerry did.
Every President since Carter has been a governor except George H. Bush who was the VP prior to being elected.

The best ticket would be either Edwards/ Obama
or Clinton/Edwards but the Democrats have a lot of good candiadates like Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Evan Bayh of Indiana

Sadly, though I strongly believe in the Democrat party, none of the candidates who have appeared appeal to me. I personally like John McCain, but he's a republican and who knows what party loyalties can do to people.

Edwards quit after 2 years as senator from NC. He only showed up to vote 6 times.
Obama has only been in ofc 1 year.
Clinton is ultra liberal.
I would say Liberman.

unfortunately, not barrack Obamaor Hilary Clinton. this is because the US isn't ready for a black man or white woman as president. how unfortunate this is. the best candidate is probably John Edwards.
