For some reason, the story that always sticks out in my head is Zidane's head butt in the World Cup finals, his last game before retirement, with only a few minutes to go, and about to go into penalty kicks. I think his behavior was inexcusable anyway, but given the circumstances and his leadership position on the team... unbelievable.
