The long march was led by Mao Zedong - he isn't even among the choices. Your book is wrong.

E: NONE OF THE ABOVE

Your book is wrong.
all the possible answers you gave to pick from are all From the Mideast. None of them had anything to do with China's "Long March".

A) Ayatollah Khomeini: was a Shi`i Muslim cleric and marja, and the political leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran which saw the overthrow of the last Shah of Iran. Following the Revolution, Khomeini became Supreme Leader of Iran—the paramount figure in the political system of the new Islamic Republic—until his death.

B) Yasser Arafat: was Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) (1969–2004)

C) Michel Naim Aoun: is a Lebanese military commander and politician.

D) Hosni Mubarak: has been the President of Egypt since 14 October 1981.

None of these people were participants in China's "Long March"
The Long March was a massive military retreat undertaken by the Red Armies of the Communist Party of China (CCP), the forerunner of the People's Liberation Army, to evade the pursuit of the Kuomintang army.
The Communists, under the eventual command of Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, escaped in a circling retreat to the west and north, which reportedly traversed some 12,500 kilometers (8,000 miles) over 370 days.

Those book choices are WEIRD! Khomeini is the Imam of Iran; Arafat, the Palestinian Hamas; Anoun is nonsense; and Mubarak is Pakastani leader (I think).

The only "long march" of China that I know of was by Chiang Kai-shek ending up in Taiwan during the Chinese Civil War, 1927-49. He lead the battle against the Communist take-over of China--retreating and finally ending in Taiwan where he ruled as the President of the Republic of China until his death in 1949.

I don't know which history book you are reading but you should tell your school board to buy their books from a different source. The long march was led by good old Chairman Mao

If this is a modern Text book complain they need to put the right answers and the correct spelling of names. I would suggest that you use the index of your book to get the answer.
