A "REP" is a single repetition of a particular exercise. A "SET" is a group of single "reps." If you're goal is to gain size in your weight training, it is recommended that you use heavier weights and fewer reps (3-6) in each set. If you are looking to tone up and build strength, you should use a lighter weight and more reps (8-12) per set.

I hope that helps.

A set is a bunch of reps. So you would do 10 reps for a single set. A rep is a single lift.

a set is a number of reps, lets say you do ten reps, i.e you lift the bar ten times that is a set, so a regular workout would be 3 sets of benchpress, and in that you would do 30 reps, that is just an example, you could change those numbers to meet your needs as a weightlifter.

a rep is one motion - like curling the dumbell up and down once

a set is a series of reps- you might to 4 SETS of 8 reps each. you would do 8 reps 4 times with breaks in between.

a rep is each time you lift the weight. A set is the total amount of reps you do. For instance a set of 15 reps.

A set is a series of reps. For example, 10 reps of biceps curls equals a rep. You should do three reps per exercise.

For bulk training, you do few reps and maximal weight
For endurance you do many reps and sets

a rep is one repitition, so if you are doing bicep curls then it is one curl. a set is how many you do at a time. so if you do ten curls, take a short break and then do 10 more curls, you have 2 sets of 10 curls.
