You can feed her anything that you eat -that is low in salt, and free of potential allergens such as nuts and honey.
Babies do not need special food, or particularly soft food. I have been feeding my baby table food since he started solids at 7 months. Here is the info on baby led introduction in solids: http://www.borstvoeding.com/voedselintroductie/vast_voedsel/rapley_guidelines.html#choke
Babies like texture and flavour, baby food offers neither. And it is processed. My son loves apples, pineapple, oranges, bananas, steak, chili, pickles, burritos, broccoli, potatoes (not mashed), chicken, lentils, etc.
About mashed potatoes... most people mash potatoes with butter and milk, dairy is generally not given until 9-12 months. You can mash potatoes (and other veggies) with olive oil or broth instead. However as your daughter is rejecting purreed food she probably will not want mashed food either.
Also my baby does better with large, rather than small pieces of food. It allows him to control how big of a bite he gets. I give him a half an apple, a whole orance segment, slices of chicken, etc. Sure it makes a mess sometimes, but what doesn't? In the begining offer both large and bite sized pieces to see what your baby prefers.

Skip the prepared food and use your blender to prepare the same stuff you eat for the child. Most blenders have small jars available. If you eat roast beef and green beans with mashed potatoes, grind them up and feed them to the child. Not mixing them together of course! The child will see you eating the same stuff that you are offering them and they will be more inclined to eat what you eat! We did this with 4 kids and they did very well with this approach. Regular baby food has too much salt Try it and you will be surprised how they take to it.
Good luck

yes you can, you can also feed her anything she will eat. The veggies are great and so easy to chop up small, and you can also feed her shredded chicken and turkey. They not only have the little vienna sausages, they have the canned fruits and veggies for babies that are awesome, my son still loves them and he is now 19 months.ANother thing babies love to eat are the cheetos, obviously the fat ones, and i know it isn't a nutritious food, but it's an awesome snack. GOod luck! I loved that age, they are so fun!

Feed her anything that is well cut up so she can learn to chew up her food. You don't have to buy toddler food for her, you can give her regular food that you would eat. I still wouldn't make it too spicy for her. This is a good time to give her a cup too!!!

My youngest never liked baby food. At about 6 months old, after 2 months of trying to get him to eat it, his Dr told me to just feed him whatever we ate, just cut up enough so he wouldn't choke. Make it healthy and she'll be fine.
