they've remained neutral officially, but wolverine has had a hand in taking down nitro, who blew up the bus. cyclops is against registration, but bishop is for it. i think its only a matter of time before at least a few of them get dragged into something though. they cant just stand by and abandon some of their friends.

like what was said already they are "nuetral'. Emma Frost told Stark that the X-men would not join either side, and she cited that fact that few non-mutant heroes stood up for "her people" when Genosha was destroyed.
However! Some individuals have taken more active roles.
It should also be noted that all mutants (the 198) are "De Facto" registered. This means they were automaically registered because they were mutants.

Officially they want to remain neutral but like with any conflict it's hard to be totally neutral. Examples being Bishop and Wolverine who have both fought siding with one faction or the other.

The side which wants to live in peace and get accepted by humans.Trace new mutants so they can teach them how to use their powers/gifts. They are the good guys.
