People who lie and say they drink excessively or do drugs to appear cool or to make other people concerned for them? People like this try to manipulate my feelings like this all the time...GRRRRRR Do you know people like this?♥

Um, no...how old are these people you're hanging out with? At my age, the people who drink excessively are usually lying and saying"I dont have a problem, I can quit anytime"...I mean , forget the age thing..my 13 year old laughs his a.ss off at anyone at his school who brags about drinking or doing drugs...the people you're talking about have issues...stay the hell away...

I new a few like that in High School. I actually knew a girl that was such a pathological liar, if you asked her how her weekend was she would normally say something like, "Oh, I got raped again." Like it was the most normal thing in the world. Luckily I don't associate with those types of people any longer.

Yep. It's manipulative and designed to get attention and a form of emotional blackmail. They want sympathy and to get you to worry about them. Funnily enough, the people who make the most noise are often the most o.k.really. It's the quiet ones who don't draw attention to themselves that are the one's most likely to do something really self-destructive.

No I drink and smoke equally hard, so when I wake up beside them I really struggle to remember who they are. A few days after of course, I will have forgotten all about them.

I do know those kinds of people.But some are not always in the same situation.Like they say they got in trouble alot at school,but they are really goody-goodys.I hate that kind of stuff they do to sound cool.

actually i do...my mom is a dug addict and a drunk...even tho i havent seen her since i was 5(13 now)and saw her for the 1 time two weeks ago and only said hi to each other i still love her cuz shes my blood i am like her tho...ppl say im a slut like her(even my grandmother)....they dunno but i use to do drugs...and when i go to parties with kids older than me...my older friends invite me to parties then there are beers and stuff and ya we do get drunk i hate it too cuz it interfears with my education...like i wont go to collage and my teachers know i wont all because i know a person who does stuff like that....i know more than one person....and i am becoming one of them....u know what that just helped me realize i need to get my act together.............thank god for me answering this question...but ppl like that are lowlifes...they will never be cool....they arent cool cuz they are choosing to do stoopid things the only way u can be cool is to do awsumly great things that will make u a better person

No I try to stay away from people like that,I have met some, but as soon as I find out they are like that I leave.

No, not really. I have friends who really do drink, but I don't have any who are into drugs as far as I'm aware of.
And even so, they don't brag about it when they do drink.
