Nothing. No matter where we have lived, my wife always sleep on the side of the bed next to the door. I think it may have to do with the fact that when you have babies, she is primarily the one who gets up to feed the baby in the middle of the night. That's one theory. I don't know.

It means you sleep on the side of the bed away from the door, and nothing else.

it doesn't mean anything. you just get used to sleeping on one side of the bed. i have always slept on the same side no matter what side of the bed the door is on.

I sleep next to the door, so I can put the kids back to bed if they wake up.

Let's have fun tonight Darling!!! You sleep on the side near the window (hopefully)and I will sleep on door side .. I Love you but I have always felt like sleeping on the door side but never liked to say so but tonight CAN WE HAVE FUN.

My boyfriend sleeps on the side of the bed closest to the door, ALWAYS. When I asked him about it he told me it was a safety thing. Such as, if someone were to break into our house, they would get to him first.
Everyone has thier own little quirks!

I sleep on the door side as my wife says she feels a level of protection in case someone broke into our house.

I've slept on the same side of the bed since I was little, it could just be where they are the most comfortable.
