I am an australian living in the Philippines and I have found that nearly all medications can be bought over the counter in the pharmacys here with no pescription. If you know what you need and it is a common medication you should have no problems at all. Also medication is sold single tablet and up here so makes it cheaper and also I have found prices of medications to be alot lower also.
You can also ask the pharmacist at the chemist for their advice but if it is a sensitive problem and you know what you need then just buy the medication.

After 14 years of treating myself and others here in the Philippines, I have never needed a prescription, almost everything is available over the counter at chemists, especially to a white face (even Valium).
Medication is very cheap here, use the generic drugs, they're just as good and cost 20% of the brand names like Bayer.

Yup yup. Not a problem at all. I am an American and I fill prescriptions here all the time. That being said, my prescriptions are not for medicines that can be abused (i.e., valium, oxy contin, etc) which may be a different story.
Prices range depending on the drug. I fill all my prescriptions at Mercury Drugs.

You should bring your medical records so that work-ups wont be requested again. It is hard to write a prescription in which you dont have any basis. If my guess is right, probably you should be bringing also your ECG results if you have one. Bring a list of your prescription drugs.
Some drugs here are more expensive than in US. I know a lot who experienced that. Though some are cheaper here.

I believe pharmacies in the U.S. can only fill prescriptions written by physicians licensed in the U.S. You can call any pharmacy and ask if they can fill a prescrition written by a doctor in another country. If you mean, can you obtaind AND fill the prescription in Manilla, then the answer is yes, of course. No way to know what the price is, depends on the medication...every med has a different price.

You most certainly can. You can even get a lot of medications without a script.
Most medication would be cheaper for a foreigner when compared to the prices paid back home.
You can also purchase the exact number of tablets that you need.
Hope this helped.

meds in PI are much cheaper in Philippines, not to worry, but what you have to worry is if it is available and find out if you can get them
