i have this friend that hurted me several times, and we wouldn't talk for a while, and then we talk again and i forget everything that happened before because i'm good hearted and it just feels better not to have tension going on, am i dumb for doing that?? or its only a matter of timefor her to do it again :S ???????

You are not alone on that one it happens to me also. Sometimes our problem is that we must learn to say NO even though it's probably hard but try it and you'll breath better. Sometimes people mistake our kindness for our weakness, to them that's an advantage.

yea u r dumb for that.... i recently got rid of a friend that kept screwing me over. i always belived shed change. shed say sorry and then do the sam ething again. i tend to be the same way where i dont like having any tension going on so i forgive easi;ly but the thing is to never forget. stop getting screwed over and dump ur friend. cdan u even call that persona friend if they have hurt u so bad so many times???

Forgive the person all the time however that doesn't necessarily mean become a doormat. Distance yourself from people who hurt you and go out and meet people who will give lift you up and encourage you..that is a good friend whoever is hurting you is not. Once again, forgive at all times but maintain your distance and use your wisdom! I wish you the best!!! :)

It goes the same for me. Its not that we are dumb
its because we are good hearted, willing to forgive and forget. Its good for you to be able to think like that. Although it feels so bad sometimes...
But its dumb if we got cheated by our own friend, hurt by a simple matter is ok, but cheating your money is not ok.

You're not dumb. You're kind. Also, you have the healthy attitude. You obviously realise that what she does is about her and not about you. You can have a clear conscience where she will be fighting hers for some time to come. Good for you for keeping your head held high and refusing to lower yourself to the level of holding grudges!

she will do it again, because she knows you will forgive her. No you are not dumb, you just have a big heart and people like her know it and use it to walk all over you. Time to cut the cord and let her know you won't stand for it again.

I'm the same way, Honey. I used to feel like I had a tatoo on my forehead that said "f^ck me over". I've learned to live with it. I make better choices in my friends now...and I don't let anyone hurt me more than twice.

Good hearted, and perhaps a little naive. Unfortunately, we all have had to learn in this way, it just takes people different #'s of "hurts" to learn. I hope it doesn't take you too many more times.

Good hearted = Sucker. Believe me...I'm speaking from personal experience. Some people take advantage of nice people. That's all there is to it. You gotta put your guard up!

we always want to believe those we love will one day change and that's why even if a family member, a friend, a lover hurts us we still forgive and hope that it will get better. it's not a sign of weakness but of unbelievable strength and faith.
