Schizophrenia, possibly. It could be an auditory hallucination, which is a symptom of psychosis. However, not all psychosis is caused by schizophrenia. Psychosis can also be related to severe postpartum reactions, drug use, some medical problems, or severe depression and/or bipolar.

I object to the term "crazy." Schizophrenia is an illness and "crazy" is rather insulting.

Schizophrenia- or it could be a type of psychosis that is related to some type of trauma you have endured. It could be a reaction to medication, no sleep for days etc. Any of the above can be treated to help you.If it is psychosis related to a trauma then some therapy may help and typically the symptoms disappear after lengthy therapy. If indeed it is schizophrenia-then you need to talk to your doctor for the best options. It is prevalent in males but females can have it also. Just make sure you seek medical attention. Good luck!

Well charlie ching it's better to hear this from someones who's got the voices in there head.ive been haveing voices for about six years ive now got to the stage where i can control them in a less paranoia way.for ages i thourght i was jesus, which was quite amusing to start with, but then the voices started to sound like satan, always telling me to insult people,to be the il temper anti-social liar that was completely the opposite of me,what made things worse is that what i was hearing in my head my family and freinds would start repeating.hence why they call it paranoid schizophrenia.the medication that im on prevents me from creating to many endorfins in my brain.there the chemicals that give you the pictures and voices, but funnily enough the endoe's also have something to do with being happy.(my parents used to give me strange looks when i laughed for no reason)but with mental illnesses its not just physical, its phsycological aswell.so i found if your voices told you to do something or wern't very nice.keep yourself positive, think before you act,use your conscience as a guide.remember there just words in your head not real people.so they can't harm you.instead of listening to them concerntrate on real people on top.distract yourself from thinking(you dont hear them when your asleep).the doctors wont tell you that, that's for sure. from mad me

Some people with certain types of schizophrenia have auditory hallucinations. These 'voices in the head' are very real to them and may give commentaries (sometimes critical) or tell people to do things that could affect their own (or others') health and well-being.

Sufferers should see their doctor.

Schizophrenia. But even psychologists are saying this illness is so diverse that no 2 schizophrenics are the same & the British Mediacal Association are thinking of chenging it to sth like dissociative something disorder.
I was diagnosed with this many many years ago & after so many years I never heard voices.
Actually I think schizophrenics are cool people, but not the ones who hurt or attack others.

schizophrenia is when a person has multipul personalities within the person. Often very diferent personality's, very different from one another. Usually caused by a traumatic experience that the person wants to block out.
IE: A complete different person/ personality emerges.
Hear voices but remaining the same person is called something else but not sure of what it's called. It'll be schiz"something" I think but not sure....

This sounds like schizophrenia, but if this is you, you should go to your doctors for a serious talk. If on the other hand you simply want to know try going to the library and getting some books on psychology out. Good luck.

Schizophrenia is one, However there is an illness where there is no mental illness present but the person can hear voices- they are referred to as voice hearers but they do not suffer the humiliating affects of mental illness, they are perfectly able to function day to day and control the voices. If your interested look up Marcus Romme- very interesting. Hearing voices doesn't necessarily make you crazy
