You probably will put on weight everywhere, I'm afraid! Its your body laying down stores of fat ready to get you off to a good start breastfeeding. I was a pre-pregnant size 12, a pregnant size 14, and now a size 12-14.
The good news is that it is fairly easy to shift (as long as you're not using your pregnancy as an excuse to scoff!), especially if you breastfeed.

LOL, I had the same problem! I looked everywhere for a coat that fit. I found some maternity ones online but they were expensive.
I ended up going on Ebay and found a heavy wool poncho with a hood. I am so warm all the time due to the pregnancy that it turned out to be perfect for me!
Every pregnancy if different and every weight gain is different. I woldn't worry unless your Dr says that you are gaining too much weight.
Take care and good luck.

Congrats! A maternity coat (like other maternity clothes) will be expensive. If you live in a climate where it is cold much of the year, it may be worth the expense so you'll have it next time you're pregnant. But if you live in the south, you may not need a coat at all the next pregnancy. You could get a fleece poncho (I assume they call them ponchos when they are fleece)- nice and roomy and warm.

It might be that your bump is pushing out the coat and making it feel tighter around your back and arms. This happened to me on some clothes while I was pregnant. Invest in maternity clothes as you're going to get bigger and you will feel more comfortable!

It is normal there is no such thing as eating to much when you are pregnant because you are eating for more than 1. You just have to get a coat big enough for your pregnacy and after the baby get a smaller one. Also your belly is not the only thing that gets big its everything to help balance everything out.

I was at the end of my pregnancy with my two oldest in the fall, and couldn't find a jacket (that fit my budget) that was the right size, so I adopted some very large sweaters and a comfy shawl....layers are always a good idea, since you may feel cold one minute and hot the next.
With my youngest, born in May, I made it through the winter with a fleece jacket and sweaters .... fleece has a bit of "give" to it.

You put weight on everywhere. You are 6 months pregnant. You need a maternity jacket.

Go to a second hand store and buy a bigger coat so that you don't spend alot of money on something you won't wear after having the baby.
