i have just bought a sony erricson w550i of someone of ebay. Have put the sim card in for the right network and it is saying invalid sim. Whats wrong is it the phone thats locked? How do i get it working?

youre gonna need to get the unlocking code

It might be a pay as you go phone you are plugging into a contract phone sim (I think that makes a difference). You can normally take it to your local phone shop and they will unlock it for you (costs about £10 as I remember to do it).
