I am thinking of buying one but they are so new that I don't know anything about them. I have a civic hatchback now, which I never want to give up, but soon I think the time is going to come for a new car.

they are only new to america, Honda has been building the fit for years and selling it everywhere else as the Jazz. They have sold over a million of them already.

If you are looking for a little gas-saving subcompact vehicle, this would be a very good choice. Even though this is a new model in North America, it has been around in Asia and Europe, (where the streets are narrower and traffic is lot more congested) for a number of years. Honda call it the Jazz over there, and even the base model comes with a nice sporty body kit !! They can't call it the Jazz here because Honda already assigned that name to one of their scooters here. It is very roomy inside, and the engine is just as powerful as one of those Civic Si that they built in the early 90's. Unlike the Yaris, the fit also has the instrument panel in the right place (right in front of you and not in the centre of the dash). I say 'Go for it'.............

I personally dont like the looks of it. Its good on gas, but as for crash tests i havent heard anything. i have a civic too, i got it for my bday last year, and im looking to upgrade to the acura. my first car was a used tl, but id rather have a used acura than the brand new honda i have. you wouldnt think there would be much difference because its the same people who make them but i gotta tell you my old 98 tl rides so much nicer than my 05 civic.

I love it, I wish I had one. It would be perfect if they made it electric, or even hybrid, but it still gets good gas mileage the way it is now. When you're ready for a new car I say definitely give it a test drive and consider it. Better than the Yaris, in my opinion.

Yes. Go for it. It has good gas mileage, it doesn't cost a lot, and it is perfect for a younger person/ teenager.
