I have lived in three haunted houses, but I still believe they were demon infested, and not the dead that came back. I don't believe the dead can come back. I believe that demons can take any shape or form.

Several years ago, I bought a house that to all appearances was perfectly normal. While on the road, my son-in-law was staying at the house and around 2AM there were three loud knocks at the door; he answered it and no one was there. From that day onward; the house changed. The cat and dog refused to go into the den, the overhead fans would come on by them selves, the carpet sweeper would come on, the door could be closed and locked and on your return it would be wide open. A radio in the closet would come on, things left by the door would be found across the room. The car sitting in the drive way had its lights come on and you couldn't shut them off. All kinds of weird things happened, until one night the kids were sitting in the den and they saw a ghost going up the stairs. Later that night, the ghost came to their room and sat on the bed; they weren't scared but asked him to leave and he did. The house is almost normal now. There were all kinds of strange things that happened, to numerous to mention here.
One other thing, the man that I bought the house from was murdered about a month after the closing on the property.

not one in my house, but there is activity in the school where I teach.
Several have heard and seen strange things, "she" drops books, takes items from one classroom to another, and opens doors after the school has been locked up for the day....a few teachers have heard her high heels clicking in the hallway, after school is out for the day... and several photos taken at school have a flash of light in the corner or side, but never in the same area

My old house we had several poltergeist. They would leave marks on you when you were sleeping (finger/hand print bruises, scratches....) They would hit you, throw things at you. One of them even chocked my gf, when I turned the light on her face was blue. They cant kill you, but they can hurt you really bad.
