Please please please do not curse your child with a stupid name. My parents burdened me with the name Rebel and my life has been hell. Stick with common names

Ok, I'l give you my most awesome boys name ever, but I hope you don't live in my town because as of right now I think my 6 mth old is the only one with this name.My husband and I couldn't agree on ANYTHING and we finally came up with with this 3 wks before we had him. Everyone that hears it says, oh my gosh I LOVE that! His name is.......................
Beckett. Isn't that cute?
Some of my other top runners for a boy were Raleigh, Ridge, Ryder, and Burke.
The name I liked best for a girl was Tuesday, I think thats just precious. I wanted Tuesday Blue.
I also liked Avery but I have heard of 5 of them just since my son was born!
My 13yr olds name is Tanner, which wasn't popular back then but is more common now.
Hope I helped!

I agree with not naming kids common names, Ashley and Amber...Ugh! I am Kim and I think there were always 4 or 5 in my class growing up!
I named my oldest son after his father and Grandfather, Chadwick, we call him Chad, my boys names are all common, David, Adam, Joseph & Ricky- becasue they are family names. Girls names are more fun I think, my daughter is Lauren Michele and I love it. My mothers nameis Gretchen, I love it too, but my husband hated it, I love it becasue it's my moms name and she is awesome. Look back in your family history for ideas!

You might give the kid a break. If you give them a name nobody knows, they'll have to spell it on the phone thousands of times in their life-time.
For a girl I like the Spanish name Yolanda.
For a boy, Lancelot, one of King Arthur's knights.

Unique is good...but don't go TOO unique. I chose a name for my daughter that was at one point popular but has since faded out...Natalie. I wanted to name her Christianna (or Christiana), but I got vetoed. I love that name!
