there are two main types of discrimination;
direct discrimination - a direct comment said against someones race,sex, etc
indirect discrimination - this is a more subtle form of discrimination,
e.g if a job was advertised and stated that only people aged 20-35 could apply,this would be discriminating against others who were out of this age group

Anti discrimination practices were bought about to ensure everone has equality of opportunity regardless of ethnicity,gender,religious and cultural differences,and disability.For example;if a disabled wheelchair user applied for a job in an office and was the most successful applicant but there was not appropriate access to the office eg;A ramp,then the employer would be denying the applicant the job opportunity and would be discriminating against the person.If a ramp was made then the employer would be seen to be using good anti discrimination practices as they would be giving the right person the job and making sure that the persons needs were being met just like their able bodied counterparts..

Anti discriminatory practice looks at different
ways on challenging discrimination and creating a optimistic environment and
looking at the differences within the setting on a positive perspective, between
staff children and other people.
To understand anti discriminatory practice discrimination needs to be understood.
There are many forms of discrimination, some of them being based on gender,
ethnicity, class and age. However anti discrimination prevents any forms of
discrimination by promoting affirmative attitudes in relation to the gender,ethnicity and so on
