You can look for credit card companies that allow you to put deposits then you borrow against your own money but that way you can get and establish a credit history. Capitol one is one I've applied to they'll take almost any one has long has you deposit money. I hate the thought of borrowing and paying interest on my money. Oh well what can you do after you messed up.

If you are not a homeowner you you will probably find it easier getting a loan for a specialist lender rather than your bank.

You are probably best going through a specialist unsecured broker such as:

http://www.advantageloansuk.co.uk
http://www.tenantloansonline.com

These companies will search around for the best loan option for your individual circumstances and although they charge a fee of between £20 and £50 they could save you a great deal of money in the long run.

If you have no credit history, no proof of income and no security you may find that the best option for you is an Unsecured Guarantor Loan. A Guarantor Loan is a normal unsecured loan that is countersigned by a friend or relative who trusts that you will pay back the loan. You can find out more about Unsecured Guarantor Loans here:
