Gestational age is the age of the pregnancy from last menstral period.
Fetal age is from conception (ovulation) and is generally 2 weeks less than gestational age. If you are 5 weeks pregnant from last menstral period then you are at 5 weeks gestation and about 3 weeks fetal age. Generally 40 weeks gestation is a normal pregnancy so when people ask just say I'm 5 weeks.

You're 5 weeks pregnant because docs will always go by your last mentrual period and this is what you'll tell people when they ask how far along you are - this is because it's impossible to tell the exact date of your conception. The educated guess is that it's your 3rd week of gestation but it could be anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

Gestational age is counted based on your last menstrual period not based on the actual age of the baby because it's hard to pinpoint actual ovulation/conception. If you are 5 weeks pregnant you are due in 35 weeks. Good luck.

I had undesirable nausea ALL day daily for 2 weeks from week 5 - 7. Then unexpectedly that stopped. Then the very next day I have been given very sore breasts which eased at around 9 weeks. i'm 10 weeks now and my breasts are lower back hurting and that i think ill - I even have twingy pains around my abdomen from ligaments stretching. So in different words it somewhat is unquestionably ordinary for indicators to return and bypass and alter like that - remember your hormones are everywhere, which additionally explains why you want to be including your Mum rapidly besides. So do not difficulty you're completely ordinary! Congratulations.
