i need a £10000 loan but i have only been with my bank for 8 weeks how long do i have wait before i try i have no credit cards
and not a lot in my name apart from 2 D/D

Go and have a chat with your bank manager. Bring old statements and statements of income with you. If you've had loans and cleared them in the past, bring those statements with you too.

If you have the income to support the repayments, you may well get the money. A lot will depend on your previous banking history and credit history.

You can negotiate a lot with the bank - I've known people with rubbish credit ratings and terrible money management skills to get whopping big loans... it's worth a try!

it all depends on credit scoring and how long you the loan for ,what reason simply saying consolidation will mean proving your debts for that amount,check out local papers,national papers to give you an idea of what repayments are likly to be,you do not say if you own your home as a remortgage will be cheaper with well known banks/building society's.the companies in the papers usally charge between 1&5% more.
