Why do some women and men paint their eye brows on? They look like mad insects. I don't understand.

We have a lady in our office that has put her eye brows on with magic marker she told everyone. she looks like an evil wasp! When she's at the copier machine i have to hide behind the wall until she leave, I don't know if she'll sprout her wings out or not.

Some unfortunates don't have eyebrows, or they're very faint, and it takes a makeup artist to make them look good. Women sometimes lose eyebrows as they get older. Illnes can also affect them. It's not a do-it-yourself job. I agree, it can look scary, but I feel sorry for them. Not everyone is as eyebrow-blessed as Tom Selleck, Brooke Shields or Laura San Giacomo. Personally, I like the caterpiller look.

I agree with you that painted/drawn eyebrows look silly. Unfortunately my eyebrows fell out almost a year ago, and now I have to draw them on because I look sickly with out them.... :( But I try really hard to atleast make them look as realistic as possible, although I am SUPER paranoid about it. And all my friends/family try to reassure that "no one can even notice". But I'm sure they are just being nice... *sigh*
Yea well anyways, you just proved my point that it does look stupid to draw them in. And people DO NOTICE! But HopeFully they will grow back soon so I won't have to stress about this forever.
Either way though I think you should watch yourself, maybe you shouldn't judge people with out knowing there reasons for doing things. I mean common sense would tell you that people draw on eyebrows because they do not have their own! Same as people that wear wigs! K? well Didn't mean to rag on you, but I just wanted to make you (and all men that may read this) aware that if you ever see pretty little me walking around don't be scared to chat me up just because my eyebrows are not real, lol. Get to know people before you judge, k? Mwah

LMFAO!! attack of the killer bees. I know what you mean. We have a very nice latino lady in our office, very pretty too but she does her eye brows with a marker too. Now, sometimes, she looks nice, it fits. Other times... she looks very angry - insect like.

For the same reason some men shave their legs and some women wear sandals with unattractive feet...they think it fine,but judging by your question and many other peoples responses...it's not as attractive as they might think.

I know, the moment you start sweating, it'll wear off and that would look odd, not having any eyebrows. I did that one time in junior high school and I regretted doing it.
