The Stones are more old school and man, it sure shows too.
Aerosmith, I think has transcended the times abit better and has appealed more to multiple generations than the Stones.

The Stones.
They did great work in the 60s, made some respectable material in the 70s, made a few classics in the 80s and then went into bland mode.
Aerosmith had a good run for about 2/3 of the 70s and then went total bland-out on us ever since. Thus, the band that has given more good stuff over a longer period of time is the Stones.

I would have to say Aerosmith because I remember listening to their songs when I was in Jr. High School in the late 80s. I think people who were in Jr. High with me listened to Aerosmith more than The Rolling Stones anyway.

Rolling stones, if the rolling stones you know didn't age and were the same as they were in 60's. I'd definately choose them, but now they're really old, and Mick jagger's not as good as he used to be, but I've never really like aerosmith, so yeah the rolling stones.

def. aerosmith. Rolling stones are good, but aerosmith is a much better rock group. Thats just my opinion.

aerosmith. rolling stones have hardly any good guitar, drums, or anything and their singer sucks!!
