There is no specific age to get tested. If you are sexually active, you can be tested. If you are female and sexually active, then you already should be seeing a gynecologist. They need to be doing a pap test to check for things like cervical cancer which stems from an STD called Human Papilloma Virus...which can be transmitted from skin contact without intercourse. But while you are in the office having the exam, they can check for other things while they are at it. It is best to always be safe.
And if you are sexually active....USE PROTECTION!
EDIT:
Breast exam is not the same thing as a mammogram. A breast exam can be done as early as your teens. And self-breast exams are recommended. Mammograms are a type of x-ray that is taken of the breasts and is not done until one is at least 35 years old...unless a lump is felt.

You'll have to be more specific on what sort of tests.
If you mean pap smears you should start getting them as early as 16 years old. At least that is what I was told. Also they make you get a pap smear if you want to get on birth control.
If you are speaking of being tested for breast cancer and such you can do that as early as you have breast. You can request to be tested upon your first visit with your new ob/gyn. Some people may try to tell you its only after 35 but my OB/GYN did a breast exam when I was 18. You can request it as early as your first visit with an OB/GYN if they don't do it as procedure.
STD tests can be done at some clinics for no charge at all and at any age that you become sexually active you can request to have an STD test done on you. If you request this you should ask your partner to be tested also.
The results usually take a few days to come up
If you don't find an answer in this then you'll have to be more specific.
Okay you changed it. There are free clinics in most states and counties that will test you for HIV AIDS. This will be at no cost to you and you can have yourself tested any time of the year at any age as long as you have been sexually active. If you are not sexually active and you think you got HIV at birth from your mother then you need to ask her first. If she is not available you'll have to explain this to the person who gives you the check up.

You should be tested for STD's as soon as you become sexually active OR you think you might have been exposed to any sort of disease or condition that might compromise your immune system (i.e., tattoo, accidental exposure to blood, etc).
Also, if you've not become sexually active yet, PLEASE go to your doctor and get the cervical cancer vaccine! It could save your life!
