I have a great relationship with my boss. But lately he feels more like my husband then my boss. We get along great and there is sexual tension. I can see the potential for a major no-no on both of our parts. The major problem is that we are both married! I love my husband and have no intentions of cheating. How do I back off on my relationship with my boss without looking like an idiot or being too obvious. As I said, we are great friends too. I don't want to mess this up.

Maybe a good conversation with this man is in order. It is so easy to get carried away especially at work where people spend so much time together. But fact is that your both married and as such should respect your mates. In addition if you were to do what you say may happen then it would certainly somewhere along the line make things hard (no pun intended) at work also.

You need to pull back on the friendship and act more professional around him. You cant have it all. If its gotten this close you need to make some major changes in the way you interact.

I would just tel him your feelings and maybe transfer elsewhere.
If htere is sexual tension there it will not go away.
Don;t wait until you find you are in a give or leave demand from him.
