Depends on the fabric and type of glue
Cotton with water based glue
Place wet cotton cloth over area, place warm iron on cloth, move wet cloth when steaming, repeat process until glue is removed
Cotton with super glue (cyanoacrylates)
Test color of fabric in obscure place with nail polish remover (acetone) for color fastness, if no bleeding occurs, dab acetone on back of area i.e. behind glue, wait a minute and attempt to pick glue off of front of fabric, repeat as needed
synthetic fabric with water based glue same as cotton, but watch the iron heat closely so as to not melt the fabric
synthetic fabric with super glue (cyanoacrylates)
nylon, rayon, dacron, polyester will all be compromised (injured) by acetone so you can not use it to remove the glue.
You are out of luck on this one as cyanoacrylates tend to polymerize with the synthetic fabrics (melt into each other)

Try rubbing an ice cube over the area. Then take a dry cloth to remove what the ice cube got off the area.
