JVC UXGB9 DAB Micro System - connectable with ipod? - good stereo?

Question

I'm interested in getting this micro system from JVC, and thought from its write up on the John Lewis website that I could connect my ipod to it and play music from my ipod through the stereo. But when i asked in John Lewis they said you couldn't... Does anyone have one of these stereos, and what do you think of them? Worth buying? And can I connect and play my ipod through it?

if you use a headphone plug to red/white RCA/phono lead**, you can run your iPod through ANY hifi with RCA/'phono in'..
I would go for a Sony hifi though,, (jvc can be abit naff)
