Tourtier (maybe spelled wrong) was made with pigeon in Quebec until recent years. Probably still is in some areas. I had it, its yummy. Look up a toutier recipe and substitute 1/2 the pork with yummy rock doves!

No, but have eaten quail and dove. I don't particularly like the gamey taste. You could probably cook one like any small game hen. Look up www.foodtv.com for recipes.
But I would not recommend eating a wild pigeon! They could be diseased. Pigeons aren't called "rats with feathers" for nothing.

No I've never tasted one but I have knocked one off of a tree branch with a beer bottle once while I was drunk and on a business trip. Yeah, that's "classy"

only thing they are good for is pies.just get a meat pie recipe & substitute meat with pigeon.cook for a lot less time tho
