I would say that both play a part. Destiny can provide us with opportunities, open doors, human conviction is what we need to walk through those doors, choose our destiny and face the unknown.
I know that could be a cop-out answer saying it’s both. But I think that people that rely too much on one or the other can really miss out on things in life.
If it is all destiny than you are passive...you take no responsibility for your life or your actions. You are not in control of where you are going
If its all conviction you maybe blinded to the opportunities that present themselves to you. Sometimes the most interesting paths are the ones we never saw ourselves taking!

I think that maybe both because we still have a destiny to fulfill and human conviction makes the road twice as hard to walk because everyone now wants more and the more they get the more the sink in their own sins and damnation.
I am sorry if I offended you but you have to consider the present.

Life powers by itself, which we call destiny. We have no say in many things that happen to us.To start with Our birth is not our choice, neither in spite of our efforts our living and death are not in our hands.. It is mostly moulded by circumstances surrounding us. We may plan assiduously to perform some thing but it may fail due to some outside forces and vice 'versa. But that does not mean we leave every action to destiny. As our holy book Geetha says, we have to perform our duty with out expecting results. The results will be taken care as per our destiny.

It's human conviction. If people doesn't feel satisfied of the life they live, they wouldn't like thier life, they wouldn't try to be better and never think about future. The destiny is already written but we don't know it. if people knew thier desting, There wouldn't be any power to live and you'll creat all your future, it'll be easy

good ??? but the answer to ur ? is very easy if u believe in God because God is life he powers that life,he is the giver of life and all life comes from God, i like the way u think,or just look around u and marvel at the power of God and the look at what man has done with the power that God gave him......good??????
