please don't say because it's a chevy either !!! i came home from lunch and got back in to to to work and it wouldn't go into drive ??
my hubby says it could be a selinoid ???

I TRIED MOVING THE STERING WHEEL BACK AND FOURTH ALSO IT WILL START JUST WON'T SHIFT INTO DRIVE !!!

the solenoid is part of the starter. If it was broken the vehicle wouldn't start at all. Sometimes the gear shift gets stuck. You can try turning the steering wheel all the way to one side, then pulling hard on the gear shift. If that doesn't work, I can't help you.

There is a recall for the Traillblazers for the shift lever clip. You could contact the dealer and give them your VIN and they could look that up. It is free.

The solenoid he is referring to would be one in floor shifter, it prevents driver from shifting out of park , unless the brake is applied.sometimes they stick if a soft-drink is spilled and seeps into mechanism.this is just a one thing to ck out before taking it to the shop.

a million you cant locate the undesirable fuse, or you cant locate the fuses? 2 extremely some the employees at those factors shops don't have enuf journey to help maximum folk. they hook up the device and study what it says. attempt to locate a domestically owned restore storage, because of the fact the broking could be costly.
