I believe that in this day and age, we live in a society that celebrates the misfit. The popular thing now is to be "Emo" or to be rude and crude. All of the television show out right now focus on "**** and fart" jokes, and the dramas show us the ugliest sides of society. You can' t turn on the tv without seeing death, lying, cheating or sex.

Young people will choose to be "Bi" because that is the "cool" thing to do now. I went to high school with alot of people who chose that lifestyle because they wanted to be like everyone else. That is a lifestyle choice that should be made because of your feelings, not because of peer pressure.

Drugs and alcohol are more popular than ever, and young people become involved with them sooner because they are glamourized in the media. Even when the show how horrible life is as a junkie, it inspires people to want to be that way.

Mental issues especially have become chic. Being ill makes you unique, it gives others a reason to notice you.

We have become a society that feasts upon our own pity.

With that being said, yes I do feel that having any kind of psychological issue is almost cool...until it becomes something you can't control, or it hurts someone you love.

Having any problems is uncool. I don't think "psychosexual" (crazy about sex) is a problem.

In this day and age it just seems arrogant to me to not be medicated for something or other.

!t's always cool to face them and deal with them as long as they're not involved with pedophilia, necrophilia or bestiality. Those are never cool.
