I'm looking for one with which I can upload photos from my computer, sort them into an album, and be able to give an internet link to people to view that album.

The best free hosting site is without a doubt, Photobucket. Easy to use, free, and almost limitless in size. As for editing, you are on your own, lol. Just hope you take good pictures.=D

I recommend Flickr. It has tagging, group photo pools, some social networking, automatic resizing, comments. You can add notes to sections of a photo, automatically set your terms of use license. They also now have a tool in the Organizr where you can put your photos on a map.
