The doctor told me to wait one month as the chances for twins are higher the first month after you go off the pill. The doctor also said that if my multi-vitamin has 100% folic acid, then I didn't need to take pre-natal vitamins.

You can take prenatal vitamins at any time. The only concern is the iron in some of them-ask your doctor if you need it. If the birth control you were using was the pill, you can try whenever you stop taking it, or at least that's what I was told, and I became pregnant about 3 months later.

you wouldn't have to be taking actual pre-natal vitamins, but you could take folic acid until you conceive. It's never too early to begin trying after coming off of a BC. Good luck TTC!

Every birth control is different, as every woman is different. In most cases you have to be off birth control for a year before you get pregnant.

I was on the pill for 10 years, too, and am 29. When I went off it, it took me about two weeks to get pregnant. My doctor told me I didn't have to wait at all.
