it depends from what end of their careers you are looking at. Jake Delhomme is the swashbuckling QB who got his team to the Super Bowl and could have won it if it weren't for Kasay's inept kicking at the very end. Right now Jake isn't having a very good time out there, however.

Drew Brees did well at the Chargers despite the fact they were getting their asses handed to them. And you see what happened when he got good talent, both in SD and in N.O.

Statistically, though, Brees has had the better career so far and leads Jake in most categories despite having been in the league for a shorter time (6 vs Jake's 8). I do not see anything changing anytime soon because N.O. is hot right now and can only get better when their rookies get more experienced.

Recently, it has been Drew Brees, due to his excellent season with the Saints, w/ talk of a possible MVP. Delhomme has had a good career, but he has done something Brees has yet to do: Get to a super bowl.

Statistically, Brees has had a better career, with a 62.6% lifetime completion percentage, and a 87.5 rating for his career.

Delhomme has more wins, but his 59.2% completions and 83.4 rating for his career are lower.

Jake has been to more conference championships and a superbowl.
But Drew is peaking, and Jake's career may be almost over.
And the debate is still in the air if Jake is actually a bad QB that has lucked out with a great supporting cast

I think that Jake is an underrated QB simply because he has had to work with a team that has been plagued with injuries over the years. I think that he'd have much better stats if he had healthy teammates, so I'd have to say Brees is the better QB even though I'm a Carolina fan. PS...I'm a female who loves football.

brees has had a better career but you have to look at Jake like this the saints were stupid not to use them when they had him so that was what 2 years his stats weren't there I'm a saints fan and i think that was one of the worst mistakes the team ever made was getting rid of him and carolina beats us everytime we play them now. but if we had him still we wouldn't have brees now so it all worked out I think they are both great Qb's

One difference. The Panthers have been given into the comprehensive Bowl because of the fact of their protection, on an identical time as the Saints have been given the the NFC Championship because of the fact of their QB. Drew Brees had the extra helpful first season.

If you compere there stats Drew has had a better year. Although in my opinion I think that Jake has had a better career. He has had more touchdowns than Drew. But Drew has thrown more interceptions
