My husband bought me my own little tool set, hammer, pliers, etc. and my own small drill. I won't get into his tools, but he will use my small drill cause it can get into small spaces. Best investment for him.

Ceiling fans! I live where the temperatures can reach the triple digits in the morning. I put fans in all of the rooms where the sun blazes in and keep them running 24/7 during the heat waves. Rarely do I have to turn on the AC and they only cost 1 1/2 cents per hour to run as compared with the 60 cents an hour for the AC. Big money saver and creature comfort!

we bought the house from my in-laws. it has been the greatest cause of grief and comment from the damned know it all f-i-l ever since! oh, regrets, not investment. how about a double cemetery plot? hee hee! in answer to your question. 1) tools, 2) mechanical equipment, (new furnace, eliminate the hot water heater), 3) insulation.

Marriage, now things get fixed when she tells me to. The trash goes out regularly, and the funny smells are gone.
I miss my Iron Maiden posters though.
