Don't even try. They're beneficial and eat insects that you wouldn't want around even more.

Thank you for asking this question. I didn't know that lizards do something good for us humans.

Next time, I'll leave all lizards alone. Except, the kind of lizard that can kill a human with a venomous bite.

I also have lizards around my place. My first reaction was to get rid of them but as other posters have implied, the advice I received was to let them be. Lizards eat crickets, spiders, roaches and other bugs that would otherwise get into your house and setup shop. Lizards, on the other hand, are cold blooded and will not intentionally get into your house. They need to bask in sunlight to keep them warm so althought they may accidentally get into your place, they like staying outdoors where they can eat and get some sun.

Also, if you have a lot of lizards, that may also indicate that you have lots of food lizards like to eat (i.e. bugs). They wouldn't be there otherwise. We live near a patch of woods and I found that was my case. Bugs want in your house to eat your food. Lizards just want to be near your house to eat the bugs.

My advice is to do nothing. If you kill the lizards you would eventually have a bug problem. Killing every bug near your house would require a lot of chemicals and be very toxic to anything in the area. It can be done but it sure seems simpler to let the lizards do it for you.

Don't kill them, they're great for getting rid of unwanted bugs like mosquitos. If you want to keep them away, get a cat, It works!

Sticky mouse traps may also catch them, but then you will have to hope they don't run away with the trap, and you will also have to dispose of the little boogers. I don't like the sticky traps, personally, but it might work.
