it is got to be sachin. he has been out of form for some time but he is the best. sachin is better than lara. can lara bowl? sachin can. sachin has fans in westindies but India considers sachin as the cricketing god. he will reurn to form. he is gonna be the best forever and ever. do not forget who won the man of the series last world cup. westindies did not come to the worldcup finals lastyear it was India and it was due to sachin. watch out lara sachin is coming to westindies to win the next worldcup for India. east or west sachin is the best.

Sachin may be regaining form but Lara can still bludgeon ANY bowling attack. Do you see the way guys celebrate when they get Lara out? This shows that he is still formidable and a fearsome batman....
By the way, I bet Lara is still capable of making another 300+. People, even I, counted him out after Hayden broke the record, only to be proven wrong when he hit 400+ against those English bastards...
Lara is the best ever and no one can dispute. Bradman never hit 375, 400 and 501 in one at-bat.

i would say Sachin for both one days and tests. His technique is just better than Laras and can plummet any bowling attack specially Australia if he is in form. Lara will still go down as one of da worlds best batsmen but he will be just below Sachin

Batting is more than technique ... it is also the risk taking.
Lara will go for the ball and get those high scores
... but i am reminded of a demonstration match in Australia where Lara was caught by keeper and stumped with Woman's cricketer, Zoe Goss, bowling
