Damned thing was "burned" to the burner. I pulled on it gently, then went into Homer Simpson mindset and went after it with more force. Next thing I know I'm holding half a coffee pot, and the other half is still stuck to the burner. And yes, coffee went everywhere. Thank goodness it was only decaf!

They're too fragile! But I think they count on people being a little too rough with them seeing as they sell replacement pots at Walmart (for the smaller pots, I have seen any bigger ones) for just as much or a little more than the whole unit.

Yes. It was empty though, so not as messy as your situation. Anticlimactic story... we had extras, I cleaned it up and noone ever seemed to notice.

I like the new 1 cup at a time coffee pod type machines offices are starting to use.

Oh my gosh - Yes!

I unintentionally broke one few months ago .... I never owned up to it because of the big fuss it would cause amongst our co workers...

..But can you believe that one of the uptight secretary's minuted the 'tragedy' In the annual Departmental meeting minutes!

''Due to carelessness of handling the coffee pot, it has resulted on one being destroyed...blah blah''

haha! ;-)

Once, when I was still in college, working part-time, I accidentally sent an entire database (I'm talking thousands of pages) to print and there was no way to remove it from the print queue!

Yeah, but I Kungfoo kicked the coffee pot at my place of work; that's how ours broke. I kept getting ticked off that it was such a small commode! =)

Hi, yes I have done that before. It's not the end of the world. These things are quite flimsy and they break easily.
Hope you didn't burn yourself.

that's gotta suck...thats when you kind of point to the guy next to you!

The only thing that ever worked out for my benefit when I forced something that didn't fit was my shoe up a co-worker's butt
