I dont work for the CIA, so I have no idea what has happened to Bin Laden. As far as Hussein being hung, it would be a great statement if we could get those from his own Sunni party to hang him, so it does not look like a sectarian murder. But since they probably are not going to get a Sunni to execute him, it will just add to the civil war that is brewing. I dont disagree with the war on terror or the war in Iraq...EXCEPT you should have a fundamental game plan when you commit thousands of troops. We went into Iraq looking for WMD, then we found out there werent any and had to change our gameplan to "liberating the people of Iraq". Using that logic, why arent we liberating the people of North Korea or the Sudan or even Cuba?? I think Bush could have done a little more planning before committing us to Iraq, but 99% of the problem isnt Bush, it was the poor intelligence we had at the time (CIA, FBI, Defense Department). Thats what we need to make sure is fixed. How bad is our intelligence community when there is an 8 foot tall muslim man wandering in the hills of Pakistan among 5 foot tall muslims and we still can't find him!?!?

Saddam has zero, zip, nada to do with the war on terror. Even your idol, George Bush, admitted that a long time ago. I wish Bin Laden a very painful death, but I'm one of those funny people who actually require proof instead of conjecture. I suspect that if Bin Laden were dead, and this Administration had proof, they couldn't wait to tell us all. Where's the announcement?
Don't count your chickens before they hatch, if you knew anything about Al Queda, you'd know they plan an average of five years for large scale attacks. Our ports and borders are still wide open and vulnerable. I'm very grateful we haven't been attacked, and I wish I could give Bush credit for that. But instead of going after the terrorists with everything we had, we interrupted that worthwhile action for this war of lies in Iraq. And now there ARE terrorists in Iraq, George Bush held the door wide open for them. This war has caused the number of terrorists to rise all over the world, and that is all Bush's doing. I hate to disappoint YOU, but accepting conjecture as fact isn't in any of our best interests.

I never saw a Bin Laden tape where he claimed credit for 9-11. He has claimed credit for other attacks, but I never saw him claim that day was his doing. If someone else did see that, can you send me a link?
Does it really make a difference? I thought Al Queda was a terrorist organization by religious fundamentalists--I didn't think they were Bin Laden's private army. Unless he took his money with him, I can't see how his death is significant to the war on terror--the terrorists are still out there! (Of course, I have to admit that having one less nutty terrorist on the loose is nice in its own way.)

"Notice how liberals want us to lose the war on terror?" -- I know not one American, regardless of party affiliation, that wishes for the US to lose the war on terror.
"If Bin Laden died from a disease he could not have treated, how is that not a direct result from the war on terror?" -- I'm thinking this is a direct result of God, not the war on terror.

I tend to believe he is dead as well. The last communication was sketchy and the governmental agencies that checked the authenticity if the tape were not as hardcore in their language as they were in the past. I'm not sure we have broken the back of that terrorist agency though. To be sure, we have to get things settled in Iraq and start pressuring Iran to overthrow their Theocratic government without having the appearance of actually taking part in the coup. As that progresses, I think we may see a better indicator of whether Bin Laden is really wormdirt or not.
And I agree, we are making progress. As long as we don't get our kiwis cut off from within our own government and can finish this fight.

The government announced that Bin Laden was thought to be dead of Tuberculosis. That has nothing to do with the war on terror.
EDIT: Bin Laden dying from disease has nothing to do with the war on terror! I actually shook my head at the stupidity of that statement and reread it to make sure I actually read the correct thing. We did not give Bin Laden TB. Bin Laden's TB has nothing to do with the war on terror. Bin Laden's death is a good thing. It is in no way related to measures that we have taken to decrease terrorism.
Saddam had nothing to do with terrorist attacks against the United States.
We haven't done anything to make a move on terrorism or the "War on Terror" which, by the way, is an awful catchphrase for a war that can't be won. Kind of like the "War on Drugs." The more terrorists we kill, the more friends and family members will want revenge against us.
At some point, I hope a terrorist ties a razor blade to his private parts. Then, we'll all have to get cavity searches at the airport. Let's see how you like Bush's policies then!

We are winning, but what of the poor oppressed people in those countries who hate each other and are now left without leaders? Thats my worry. The democracy in Afganistan has been so weak that the Taliban has been asked to come back by some. This is no easy thing.

you would be happy to appreciate Bin encumbered is getting a ask your self birthday present. you notice, he has been residing in desolate seclusion in the Pakistani mountains for years now, the place no one has entertainment nor woman companionship. His protectors are leathery skinned, unwashed, semi-toothless, uneducated tribesmen, who look at the rather extra constructive finding Bin encumbered and in all risk think of to themselves, "What a hottie". So, you get the photograph. Bin encumbered's getting a great ask your self on his birthday. consistent with risk our monitoring kit can detect him if he makes sufficient noise.

i hope bin laden is dead but until there is proof then i will continue to operate under the assumption he isn't. as for saddam, he is getting what the iraqi ppl think he deserves and they deserve this justice for all the atrocities carried out on their selves, families and friends. so bin laden possibly dead and saddam going to be punished for his crimes....my thoughts...one less terrorist makes the whole world safer.
