Technically the Queen still has absolute power. She can reclaim ANY land in the country and take it for her own, she can overturn any law that parliament wants to pass, and she can revoke permission for parliament to run. They have to ask her each year for permission to have it in the first place - just because no monarch has denied it since the 17th century doesn't mean she can't. The Queen is the head of the armed forces, so could dictate what she wants her generals to do, and they cannot argue.
However - if the Queen were to do any of those things then parliament would have a vote to remove her as head of state, with a clause saying she cannot revoke the law if it passes, which of course it would. The Queen in actuality has very little power or responsibilities, yet still has all the money for it.
Nevertheless she is still the 2nd longest serving head of state in the world (after the king of Thailand) so she has lots of valuable political savvy, and prime ministers always value the hour a week they get to talk over policy with her.

The Queen of England only has symbolic power now.
The prime minister is elected by his party to run the country. His party is elected in a general election.
Technically the Queen has some power left, she could choose the prime minister if no one party got a majority in the house of commons and TECHNICALLY she could stop laws from becoming laws by not giving them her approval.
It's all a right muddle.
This particular Queen has not been political at all, but in future a monarch could use their influence to get things done in politics.

The Queen has no political power. She does have some influence but when it comes to running the country she does not have any real control.

I'm not an expert on England, but as far as I know, the Monarch handles the duties of the Head of State, such as meeting with foreign leaders for PR purposes, and the PM runs the government, such as pushing a legislative agenda
