Do you think they are worth the price? Just wondering if it's all hype in a pretty package or if I should really consider spending the $$ when the one I have dies.

I have the Whirlpool duet and I love my front loaders. We save about 1/3 on our waterbill and the dryer dries our clothes in about half the time. The front loader seems to hold alot more clothes also. It is awesome compared to my old top loader. It is well worth the money.

I like the front-loader I have, but the brand I got was discontinued because there was problems with leakage... I personally haven't had any but I will always look for a front-loader. I definitely think it's worth it, if for no other reason than not having to bend over to get all the clothes out!

Just for the water savings alone, front loaders use much less water than the traditional ones do. Less water means less soap, also you can pack a bit more clothes in there.

They have dropped anywhere from $200.00 to $400.00 just over the last 3 years.

YOU CAN BUY 3 TO 5 TOP LOADERS ( POSSIBLY MORE THAN NEEDED IN A LIFETIME ) FOR ONE OF THOSE FANCY SMANCY FRONT LOADER & / OR A WHIRLPOOL CABRIO!
I ADMIT IT IS INTICING, BUT PRACTICALITY SAYS, IT A LOAD OF HORSE DUKIE TO BUY THE EXPENSIVE ONE!
