Saddam's hanging will not be publicised as the Iraq authorities are in fear of a backlash from some of his supporters. The death of any person should never be celebrated no matter how notorious he/she might have been. His death will not make that country to achieve its peace nor will it bring any form of relief because by being behind bars, his authority and popularity had waned during that period. We should learn to tolerate and forgive one another, no matter how painful that can be, if only we were like the Amish people.

Somehow I do not think that they will show it on TV live at all as it is a humanitarion thing showing someone being killed. It will probably come out on some website after the event.
Hanging is to good for him.

I don't normally believe in the death-penalty as innocent people can get killed but I would make an exception for him because he is no innocent. He is a mass-murderer on a genocidal scale but at the same time I could not stomach watching someone being killed so I don't know what will happen.

yes it will be on TV ......and god help us ....don't think I will have a option ......geese he deserves it but is martyrdom the answer ...not into an eye for an eye ...would prefer long drawing out punishment so he could see the errors of his ways ...OK maybe the short fast thing is more humane ...but ....maybe 30 lashes or stoning per day is worse don't know the answer but sure its gonna cause trouble no matter what ....hope 2007 is better here's hoping

If not on TV it will be on the Internet. The people of Iraq need to see he is actually dead. I would watch it on the Internet not on TV.

Apparently not, it is suppose to be low key where they will simply announce it has happened to avoid passionate uprisings. If it was, and we did watch it - we would be no better than those Arabs we criticised who watched beheading of Americans on Al Jezera (sorry about spelling)

It already has, but not in this country. Americans have this wierd denial about showing real death scenes in the media but it wasn't always like that. They will show excerpts but I don't believe they will show the actual drop of the body, etc., not in the U.S.
Yes. I would watch it.

I think there a chance it may be filmed, but not released to t v. i'm sure that a lot of Iraq would want to know for sure he's dead. If it was on t v, I would not chose to watch it
