unless myspace is telling you otherwise, I would say yes. Maybe you should re-activate your yahoo e-mail address.

You should. The only thing that myspace and your email address have in common is the way that you log on, it's like a "pin" and if you were receiving notifications from myspace about the mail or comments that were being posted on your page, and you would like to keep getting those, just log in and go to account settings and change your email address just in case.
