no its not a bad place it can be depending on how safe the person is about giving out information (ie somenone sing im 12 year old crystal clay i live in la. cal. my momsname is rose mary cly shes 32 i never get to see my dad his name is bobby clay and i am at camp livingston for the next week its in nashville tenn)all of that was made up but a child could get kidnapped for doing things like that but if a person is over the age of 14 i think thats it ok its a good way to keep in touch with friends who u may other wise not get to see or speak with over its agood fun place

The Pros And Cons of MySpace
There are pros and cons to using MySpace. It certainly depends on who you talk to about the site but here goes:

Pros: MySpace is a place where friends can meet and talk about plans, events and social activities.

MySpace allows people to express themselves and say what they want to.

My Space can be a relatively safe place for older teens and young adults to share information about themselves and to meet new people. People can share their views, interests and passions.

Use of MySpace works well for younger people who don’t Cons: MySpace can be dangerous because there are sexual predators who use the site to seduce young people.

Many parents are not aware of the dangers of MySpace. There are even parents who do not realize their teens have a profile on MySpace or what information may have been given.

Advertisers use MySpace as a way to make a lot of money. Some of the sites that have advertising are used in conjunction with sexual content. This means the advertisers are making money from ads thatpromote pornography.

MySpace tries to have controls and it has monitoring procedures in place but many things have slipped through. There are groups that promote homosexual practices as well as groups that show pornographic photos.

MySpace can not control the people who lie about their age or give other false information. It also can’t do anything about teens who are 14 and choose to correspond with people who are 10, 20 or 30 years older.

It's not bad. It's just that people give away too much information about themselves and meet new people over myspace. They don't know if this person is what they say they are. I can say im a 12 year old girl but in real life be a 40 year old man. If your planning on getting one, talk to your friends only, and don't give away personal info.

I don't think so. I am with everyone else. It depends on what you are using it for. Like many other people I use my profile to keep up with my high school friends that I haven't seen in 8+ years. Many of us has have moved away from "home" and we lost contact over the years. Now we get to see pics of everyone's kids and families. And it's great if you are planning a high school or college reunion.

You are in total control of your myspace account. You can approve, deny, and delete who you come in contact with. You can set your profile to private so that ONLY your friends can view your profile. It's fun and harmless if you use it in the right manner.

No. I met the love of my life on Myspace. We have been together ever since.

Any internet site can be "bad" depending on your intention and the intentions of the other users. As long as you aren't married or dating someone and shopping for a new girlfriend/boyfriend on it, you can meet a lot of nice people. Don't give out any personal information - like your phone number, address or credit card info and you should be fine.

It isn't "bad" unless you are an idiot. Just don't start talking to people you don't know, and make your profile private, so that aanyone that wants to see your profile has to send you a friend request, so if you don't know them don't accept it, and you will have nothing to worry about it. Mysoace is a fun way to communicate with friends and family.

It can be if you use it the wrong way. I mean, if you're on there to make friends and you do, great! However, be smart about it. Don't go off to the local mall to meet a hottie who turns out to be a drunk 40 year old. :P Not cool.

No it is not the site that is bad, but there can be bad people there. Just be careful of who you talk to and what you reveal about yourself.
