The government might want to use this to catch peoples attention for a while so they don't have to deal with the genocide issue or any domestic issues.

your question has two parts.
one:why is saddam being hanged.
the answer is because people think he committed loads of crimes.
two:why are other ppl who have commited more murderous and horrible crimes roaming free?
answer:because its not there time to go yet.
Bush has killed loads of ppl in iraq just to bring justice to this one man?
hundreds of lives have been lost in bosnia and many more in palestine.
many kashmiris are being killed and tortured by indian soldiers and what not?
but dear do not worry.one day,i believe, all this will cease.justice will prevail and peace will come to this earth of ours.
all the bad ppl will have their end sooner or later.

The man had his trial, by his own people and was found guilty. Guilty for actually a fraction of the murders that were committed in his name. The justice was there in the courtroom, meted out by his own peers. Bad things happen the world over. Police yourselves or be policed sooner or later.

what are you talking about? his own people are rejoicing in his hanging. why do you want justice for saddam but not justice for the kurds and iraqis that saddam killed? iraq cannot even start to heal until he is gone.

he deserves to die for what he has done. not every life is sacred.

Did OUR government sentence him? No. I don't see any of our elected officials demanding his death.

He was tried and sentenced by his own people. End of story.
