Most find it comforting to say America is founded on Christian beliefs with laws following. Demanding the death sentence, is this what Jesus was thinking we would take from the Beatitudes?

Not suprised, but so-called Christians conviently forget there commands such as "vengence is mine says the Lord". Go ahead justify your emptiness, then define what a hypocrite.

I'm for the capital punishment. Sure we must forgive, but if they never have to "reap the consequences of what they sow", then society can't exist. Just let every robber out of jail! They're forgiven right? We all know it doesn't work that way. And in my opinion, crimes like murder, serial rape, and other things do deserve the ultimate punishment.

would you rather others realize that they pay so little for the cruel tortrue and death of entire populations of cities or the torture and rape of countless woman.... your god must be pretty wimpy is he refuses to stand up for the rights of his people I suggest you make up another one and see how he or she does for you obviously this one ain't working

The death penalty is demanded, it is granted... how about this.... don't murder anyone, and you will not receive the death penalty. Seems pretty simple.
